About Project Management Certification Online:

The objectives are to define and describe Project Management Best Practices based on the PMBOK Version 7  We will cover the 12 Principles and the 8 Domains to provide a comprehensive overview and help you become a better Project Manager, at the same time as help you prepare for the PMP certification exam. We will follow a practical “Day in the Life of a PM approach” while still covering the terminology, formulas, concepts that will be on the exam. Content will be delivered via PowerPoint and live lecture and may include some in-class questions and exercises. This course is condensed and will not include full after-section practice questions. Students will need to do practice questions on their own. The course will include a student workbook with all the slides and exercises.

Project Management Fundamentals Course Objective:

  • Develop a full understanding of the 12 Principles which are guidelines for the strategy, decision making and problem solving as a project manager.
  • Understand 8 Domains which package all the related activities for the effective deliver of successful project, on time, on budget to end user satisfaction.
  • Review and apply the models and methods to put the Principles and Domains into action on your projects.
  • Develop an effective project organization that aligns with your organizational processes and ensure all project stakeholders and team members understand their roles and responsibilities in the project.
  • Understand the differences between Predictive (or traditional waterfall) and Iterative (or agile project) and how to apply the appropriate project management principles based on delivery approach.

Who is the Project Management Training Course Target Audience?

  • Course participants should be knowledgeable of the basic project management processes from the 7th edition PMBOK. This course help you be a better project manager while at the same time help you prepare for the PMP exam. Requirements for the exam include 3 years of project management experience. This course will partially fill the requirements for the required 35 contact hours.
